Bride-to-be Blogger Carolyn: The Honeymoon Is Booked!

I’m pretty excited, because Chris and I officially put a deposit down for a honeymoon this week!

I rarely travel, and didn’t think that a honeymoon was going to be in the budget this year, so this plan is a huge deal for me. And of course, as I do with most things, I did quite a bit of research before we committed to our trip.

We knew because of our schedules that our trip was going to have to be less than a week long. So for starters, we decided to narrow our selections to places that involved shorter plane rides so that we could get to our destinations quickly (ideally, we wanted to spend less than five hours consecutively on a plane). We also wanted to go someplace warm with a beach, and I really wanted to try out an all-inclusive resort. Of course, we also knew we’d have to be mindful of temperatures in different beachy areas in June.

With these parameters and our budget in mind, we decided to travel to Mexico for our honeymoon! It will be the beginning of hurricane season, so please cross your fingers for us! We booked an all-inclusive, adults only resort in Playa Mujeres, an area about 30 minutes from Cancun. It has great reviews online, and I’m so excited to go! I’ve even already started browsing online stores for resort attire. Can’t wait!
