Tiffany’s Got an App!

Today, something fun crossed our desks, and considering how many girls’ wedding fantasies involve a little blue box tied with a white ribbon, we thought we’d share it with you: Tiffany’s got an app! Now, not only can you play for hours on end with virtual diamonds at your desk when you’re supposed to be working, you can dream and mix and match ‘til your heart’s content on the train, waiting for the bus, or anywhere else you normally fire up your iPhone.

Here’s how it works: The bajillion options — for metal, band design, setting, shape and even the size — actually show up true to size on the screen, allowing you to accurately design and redesign your dream ring. And for you lucky gals who already have a rock, the app also lets you choose your wedding band. (If you want to use the feature that lets you flip through endless pairings of rings and bands to find the perfect match, just recreate your engagement ring — even if it’s not from Tiffany — and get to work finding its mate.)

Once you’ve made your selections, they’ve even made it easy for you to take the ring you’ve chosen and Tweet it, post it on Facebook—or email it to that special someone. (Ahem, hint, hint.)                                                                 — Emily Rothrock
