On November 19, 2010, the Philadelphia affiliate for the Susan G. Komen Foundation hosted this event to raise awareness about breast cancer among teens. More than 450 people, including breast cancer survivor-moms, parents and teen girls aged 12 and up attended. Held at the National Constitution Center, the party included raffles, auctions, inspirational videos, and a runway fashion show. Photography by Howard Kanowitz
On Thursday, November 18, 2010, World Wide Stereo, along with RUNCO kicked off the season in style with a pre-black Friday extravaganza and special preview of the new 3Dimension Series projector from Runco. More than 250 guests and friends joined Bob Cole for an exclusive demo. On November 18, 2010, the KatherineAlexandra Foundation and Wexler Gallery hosted a private premiere of the "In My Body Project," a multi-disciplinary examination of body image, self-perception and body esteem inspired by the phenomenal photographs of Leah Macdonald and the song, “In My Body,” with music by Dan Martin and lyrics by Michael Biello. The event debuted Leah Macdonald’s In My Body photo exhibition at Wexler Gallery and previewed the In My Body musical and dance performance at The Painted Bride. Guests were treated to hors d’oeuvres by 12th Street Catering and a surprise musical performance of the “In My Body” song featuring Broadway star Natalie Belcon (Avenue Q, Rent), along with local singers Karina Croskrey, Eleonore Thomas and Jordi Wallen. On November 17, 2010, Philadelphia-based sports apparel brand Mitchell & Ness Nostalgia Co. hosted the party of the season for the Grand Opening of its new flagship store! Local athletes, television personalities, trend-setters and sports fans celebrated Mitchell & Ness’ new 2,800-square-foot flagship store, featuring two floors of authentic sports merchandise, Sports memorabilia and a private showroom. Stephen Starr Events served cocktails and hors d’oeuvres inspired by classic sports arena snacks. On Wednesday, November 17, 2010 Henry A. Davidsen, Master Tailors & Image Consultants successfully kicked off a three month-long suit drive to benefit and with a happy hour at The Union League of Philadelphia. Guests were asked to donate gently worn suits or other professional attire to be given to and Along with complimentary Bluecoat cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, those who donated garments received a 20 percent discount on new custom tailored suits purchased from Henry A.
