If you've ever wanted to experience the glory of the stage, then The Young Friends of the Mann Music Center's dance party, called "Stand By Your Mann" was the place to be. After a swanky VIP winetasting, with wines and commentary on each, generously provided by Moore Brothers, the VIP's joined the rest of the crowd on the main stage for an elegant buffet dinner. Later, after hopping from carving station to bar, to make-your-own-sundae table, people waddled out to the dance floor to swing to the Eddie Bruce Orchestra. Eddie shows up at all the best places….

The Young Friends of the University of Pennsylvania's Museum threw their annual Bacchanalia Garden Party at, where else? – the garden of the Museum. The party attracted hosts of mostly 20-something sippers glad to be out of work. The weather cooperated despite a dreary forecast. We can't wait for summer to feel like summer!

After a brief cocktail hour at the Warwick Hotel, guests trooped all over Center City in groups of eight to ten for a light supper and a presentation by a selected expert. We arrived at a post Rittenhouse Square Penthouse to hear Daniel Stern, the executive chef at Le Bec Fin, wax rhapsodic on topics ranging from managing insolent sous chefs (in a previous position) to the many unique, if icky (headcheese), ways to use ALL of the parts of a cow….

The Equality Forum (formerly known as Pridefest) held their annual streetfair, SundayOut, in Center City. The daylong event attracts a wide range of pedestrians; families with strollers, artists, and lots and lots of doggies walking their owners.

Pretty Young Things and galavanting lads were the main makeup of guests at the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southeastern Pennsylvania's Annual Big City Ball, held this year at the Curtis Center. Big-hearted party people made their way around the looping hallways of the Curtis Center, danced, and grazed at the appetizer tables.
