On November 19th, 2012, Be Well Philly’s first-ever Health Hero Challenge was celebrated at Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse. Philadelphia magazine and presenting sponsor UnitedHealthcare recognized the 16 local champions for their inspirational work promoting health and wellness through the region. On October 27, 2012, more than 400 of the community's most respected names in the healthcare, corporate and philanthropic arenas united to empower the fight against breast cancer at the 11th Annual Komen Philadelphia Pink Tie Ball. An additional 200 young professionals joined the fun and fundraising for the After Party, celebrating the masquerade season late into the night. Together, both groups raised approximately $1/2 million to support the Komen Philadelphia Affiliate's life-saving work in fifteen counties. Photography by Dan Z. On October 25th, 2012, hundreds gathered at Lincoln Financial Field for an exciting evening of premium spirits tastings. Guests conversed with master distillers and industry representatives, enjoyed cuisine from the area's best restaurants, and purchased their favorite spirits at the on-site PA Wine & Spirits Store. An exclusive tasting granted VIPs early access and a behind-the-scenes stadium tour. A raffle featuring one-of-a-kind prizes raised a record amount for SafeHome Philadelphia.
