On Monday, December 12, 2011, the Curtis Institute of Music hosted a reception to celebrate the creation of a new annual fellowship established by the Consular Corps Association of Philadelphia. The reception took place in Lenfest Hall, the school’s new 105,000-square-foot campus expansion on the 1600 block of Locust Street. On Saturday, December 3, 2011, the 3rd Annual "Keep the Light Shining" Holiday Cocktail Party to benefit the Mommy's Light Lives On Fund® was held at the Newton home of Mike and Lynn Doyle. The event raised more than $26,000 to help fund traditions for children and teens whose mothers are terminally ill or have died.
