On Saturday, February 27, 2010, the 2010 Philadelphia International Flower Show Black-Tie Preview Party was held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Guests enjoyed gourmet hors d'oeuvres and cocktails while strolling through the beautiful garden displays of this year's show, "Passport to the World." The night ended with dinner in the Grand Ballroom. Proceeds benefited the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's outreach efforts including its acclaimed greening program Philadelphia Green. On Friday, February 26, 2010, local filmmaker Don Argott celebrated the Philadelphia debut of his documentary The Art of the Steal at the Ritz 5 in Old City. The showing was followed by a Q&A session with Argott, producer Sheena Joyce, executive producer Lenny Feinberg, and editor Demian Fenton. On Tuesday, February 23, 2010, Philadelphia magazine held the much anticipated 10th Annual Philly Cooks! at The Loews Hotel. On Saturday, February 20, 2010, the Junior League of Philadelphia hosted the Big Deal Casino Night at Sheraton Society Hill Hotel. Guests enjoyed live and silent auctions, a buffet dinner, and dancing. The evening was black-tie optional and had Mardi Gras theme.
