On Tuesday, June 5, 2012, guests joined Philadelphia magazine at 10 Rittenhouse Square to celebrate the launch of G Philly's Summer 2012 issue, featuring Happy Couples. Throughout the evening, guests toured the property’s luxury residences while enjoying specialty cocktails featuring Smirnoff®’s Fluffed Marshmallow and Whipped Cream flavored vodkas, Coors Light, and hors d'oeuvres by Stephen Starr Events. Friends and supporters joined Children’s Crisis Treatment Center (CcTC) and Tony Valdés, CEO of CcTC, for a night filled with Western-themed fun at the 13th Annual Roundup on Friday, June 1, 2012 at PÊCHE Sherman Mills. Event chairs Natalie & Jim Hennessy and April & Steve Hladczuk hosted the event, along side honorary Co-Chair Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown. Philadelphia Eagles Defensive Tackle Mike Patterson made a special appearance. Patterson was honored as the 2011 Ed Block Courage Award recipient, after the Philadelphia Eagles named CcTC as the team’s 2011 Courage House in association with Ed Block Courage Award. Guests enjoyed a night filled with great food, dancing, silent auctions and mechanical bull riding for a great cause raising over $155,000. Proceeds from the event raised funds for CcTC’s efforts to assist children and their families in Philadelphia coping with the impact of behavioral health issues, traumatic events and other challenges that have an effect on childhood development. Presented by lead sponsor Citizens Bank, the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program Advocates hosted the 2012 Wall Ball on Thursday, May 31, 2012. The 2012 Wall Ball benefitted the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program’s efforts to continue its work beautifying Philadelphia’s neighborhoods and serving its constituents. On Thursday, May 31, 2012, Fleisher Art Memorial presented its 23rd Annual Founder’s Award to Jill and Sheldon Bonovitz. The Fleisher Art Memorial’s Founder’s Award recognizes individuals whose significant commitment to providing access to the arts, promoting excellence in creative expression, and enriching Philadelphia’s cultural resources reflects the values of its founder, Samuel S. Fleisher. The 2012 Founder’s Award Celebration was attended by 200 people and raised $192,000 to support Fleisher’s national award winning youth programs. Marguerite and Gerry Lenfest and Suzanne Fleisher Roberts and Ralph Roberts were the Co-chairs of the 2012 Founder’s Award Honorary Committee. Suzanne Roberts is the 2004 recipient of the Founder’s Award. The reception took place in Fleisher’s Louchheim Galleries. On May 23, 2012, business, healthcare, and government leaders joined Coriell Institute for Medical Research to celebrate the promise of personalized medicine, raise awareness about the Coriell Personalized Medicine Collaborative research study, and recognize three highly-respected honorees for their commitment to Coriell and to integrating personalized medicine into routine clinical care.
