On September 6, 2012 Philadelphia hosted its first-ever Fashion’s Night Out. Select stores throughout the city showcased their newest collections and trunk shows, music, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres for the fashion-inclined to enjoy. The Friends of Children's Crisis Treatment Center (CcTC) hosted the 12th Annual “Cruise for the Kids” at the Water Works Restaurant on Thursday, September 6, 2012. Over 300 guests raised approximately $50,000 for CcTC’s efforts to provide high quality, comprehensive mental and behavioral health services for Philadelphia’s children and their families. On Sunday August 26, 2012, Phillies' first baseman Ryan Howard and fiancée Krystle Campbell hosted their first charitable event aboard the Freedom Elite, an elegant and upscale 92-ft. private charter yacht docked at Penn’s Landing. Guests – including some notable Phillies arrived early and walked the red carpet prior to departure. The cruise featured live entertainment, a cocktail reception, dinner, and a silent auction, with all proceeds benefitting the Police Athletic League of Philadelphia's mission of “Cops Helping Kids.” Photography by Todd Bennett.

On Wednesday, July 25, 2012, Philadelphia magazine and local VIPs joined for an intimate reception at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts to celebrate the 2012 Best of Philly® issue and the Ten Best Philadelphians. Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, Peroni Nastro Azzurro beer, Tanqueray cocktails, and wine pairings courtesy of Constellation wines – Dreaming Tree, Ruffino, Estancia, and Diseño.
