The opening party for the Di Bruno Bros. in the Ardmore Farmers Market was held on March 31, 2011. The new location will occupy five stalls across two aisles of the market, and will offer a collection of Di Bruno’s best selling products and customer favorites, from prepared foods and cheese, to charcuterie and gourmet grocery items. On Thursday, March 31, 2011 more than 700 guests gathered for Philadelphia magazine’s Spirits Premiere Party at the National Constitution Center. They previewed more than 30 of the season’s newest cocktail recipes and spirits, enjoyed hors d’oeuvres from Max & Me Catering, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, and Tweed, and posed for photos in the Soiree Photo Lounge, while DJ Schoolly D mixed up the beats. United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania's Women Initiative played host to the annual gala, Girls Today, Leaders Tomorrow on Thursday, March 31, 2011. The program was instituted to foster core values in adolescent girls and protect them from negative influences. The gala was co-hosted by Karen Dougherty Bucholz (Vice President of Administration for Comcast Corporation) and Yvette Bright (Executive Vice Presiden at Independence Blue Cross). The GTLT participants, who range in neighborhoods and backgrounds, were selected by 11 agencies that receive funding from the Women's Initiative for their programs, which help to empower girls.
