On Tuesday, October 4, 2011, the Prostate Cancer Foundation held an award ceremony and auction at Union League. The Ben Franklin PCF Young Investigators Award went to Dr. Ulrich Rodeck, professor of Radiation Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University. On Monday, October 3, 2011, the 17th Annual Barrymore Awards were held at the Walnut Street Theatre to honor the vitality of the Philadelphia theater community. The night began with a red carpet entrance followed by the ceremony where guests celebrated 23 nominated companies, 36 nominated productions and 98 nominated artists. On Saturday, September 24, 2011 Rumor nightclub hosted its VIP Grand Opening Party with Leverage Hospitality Group (LHG), Philadelphia tastemakers, musicians and media personalities. With DJ Isaac Jordan spinning during the night, guests enjoyed complementary cocktails. Four full-service bars transitioned club goers between four lavish rooms, including a centralized 1,500-square-foot bank vault featuring variant lighting and music. Photography by Mitch Boyer.

On Saturday, September 24, 2011, Dick and Meg Hayne and URBN hosted a benefit dinner at the Philadelphia Navy Yard Urban Outfitters to launch Children's Scholarship Fund Philadelphia's Campaign. Chef Aimee Olexy (of Talula's Garden and Talula's Table) and URBN presented the Farm-to-Table-themed benefit dinner. Guests contributed to CSFP's efforts to assist students from low-income Philadelphia families in receiving financial access to quality, safe tuition-based elementary schools.
