Realtors from The Greater Philadelphia Association of Realtors were outfitted in the latest fashions by Old City’s Three Sirens Boutique and Manayunk's Senor and styled by Salon l’Etoile. They worked the runway to raise money for The Career Wardrobe, a Philadelphia-based non-profit organization serving women transitioning into the workforce. On Thursday, May 6, 2010 Philadelphia’s Rosenbach Museum & Library held the Rosenbacchanal, the museum’s 22nd Annual Gala at one of Philadelphia’s landmark venues – Urban Outfitters’ headquarters at The Navy Yard. Urban Outfitters creative hub is a space that integrates industrial artifacts with natural elements, such as koi ponds, bamboo plantings, and folk art from the Far East. Among friends and distinguished guests, Rosenbacchanal attendees enjoyed live jazz music, a cocktail hour and wine tasting, an elegant dinner, and a private performance by Philadelphia favorite Headlong Dance Theater. All proceeds from the event support the Rosenbach’s innovative exhibitions and programs in addition to the museum's educational outreach which engages thousands of children in Philadelphia schools each year. On Tuesday, May 4, 2010, Woodland Presbyterian hosted a groundbreaking ceremony and planting for their new home based farm. Guests were able to plant the first plants. They also heard from guest speakers, such as Jim Low of Triscuit, Taja Sevelle from Urban Farming, and HGTV host Paul James, who was on-hand to offer gardening tips. The region’s most talented florists, event planners, caterers and retailers came together for “A Date With A Plate” to create breathtaking tablescapes to inspire, entertain and raise money for The Noreen O’Neill Foundation for Melanoma Research. “A Date With A Plate” hosted on May 4, 2010 at The Phoenixville Foundry featured cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and walking dinner from Stephen STARR Events as well as a raffle and live auction.
