On June 9, several local dads were recognized at a cocktail reception at Saks Fifth Avenue in Bala Cynwyd. The winning fathers were chosen by a panel of judges based on their generosity and dedication to their families and communities. A portion of Men’s Collection sales made during the event benefited the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project (MCAP).

On June 8th, Girard College President hosted Taste of Summer, a fund-raising event to support the school and its ESF Dream Camp program. At the Taste of Summer fund-raiser, guests were invited to evoke their inner child and enjoy an evening dedicated to the joys of summer including camp-inspired cuisine provided by DiBruno Brothers. On Saturday, June 5th, runners and members from the Police, Firefighter and Correctional Officer communities gathered in Fairmount Park in support of the Second Annual Badges of Honor 5K Run. The race was established to strengthen the relationship between Philadelphia’s public safety employees and the communities they heroically serve. The Badges of Honor 5K Run honors Philadelphia’s police officers, firefighters and correctional officers, who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
