On Monay, June 28th, Councilman Jim Kenney, Bill Anderson of the WURD morning show, and the directors if Philly Girls in Motion, hosted the Philly Girls in Motion Kickoff Happy Hour at The Palm. Celebrity bartenders served drinks and collected tips to help support the new organization dedicated to nutrition and fitness for Philadelphia girls. Celebrity bartenders included Bill Anderson, head coach Phil Martelli of St. Joseph’s University men’s basketball, head coach Bruiser Flint of Drexel University men’s basketball, head coach Denise Dillon of Drexel University women’s vasketball, and former general manager and team president of the Philadelphia 76ers Billy King. On Monday, June 28, guests an amazing evening of food, wine, and fundraising for a great cause. Forty of the region’s best chefs created intimate 4-course culinary experiences tableside. All proceeds benefit PAWS, its lifesaving initiatives, Adoption Center and new Spay/Neuter & Wellness Clinic.

On Sunday, June 27, Bob & Ron's World Wide Stereo hosted the third annual audio challenge car show. Competitions were held for sound quality, bass systems, domestics and imports with classes for novices and professionals, as well as a best of show category. The show featured a Porsche Targa 4S equipped with one of the most celebrated car audio systems in the world. Participants enjoyed complimentary Red Bull and a meet-and-greet with UFC Fighter Sean Riehl. More than 150 cars participated.
