On Tuesday, October 27, 2009, the Sixers Dancers modeled the latest in denim trends at South Moon Under on Chestnut Street. On Sunday, October 25, 2009, The Friends of the American Cancer Society hosted the Ninth-Annual Party With a Purpose, “Drive for a Cure,” at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia. Guests enjoyed exquisite food, cocktails, raffles, and silent auction prizes. The venue, which opened in October 2008, offered guests a special history and behind-the-scenes look at antique racing cars.

On Saturday, October 24, 2009, Mt Airy, USA, hosted their annual “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?” benefit and auction at the Commodore Barry Club. A Philadelphia celebrity hosted each table, and guests enjoyed the Mobile Zoo Experience, catering by Stephen Starr, desserts courtesy of Ben & Jerry’s of Bala Cynwood, and a live and silent auction.
