On Friday, June 12, 2009, Moonlight & Roses was held at the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania. More than 500 guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Rose Garden, followed by dinner either under the Rose tent, which featured dancing and entertainment by Jellyroll, or under the more peaceful Moonlight tent. On Thursday, June 11, 2009, The Philadelphia Zoo held its 35th Annual Zoobilee, titled "Birds in Paradise." Guests sampled food from some of the area's top restaurants and enjoyed entertainment, including a Water & Light Fantasy show displayed over the zoo's Bird Lake.
