On Friday, June 6, 2008, the Children's Crisis Treatment Center held a western-themed event at the Loews Hotel Philadelphia. Guests included CBS 3's Stephanie Stahl, Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown, and event co-chairs Nicole A. Cashman and Gabe Canuso. Guests enjoyed cocktails and dinner, along with performances by Jessy Kyle, Dreamtime and western dancers from Marlin Disc Jockeys. The event raised over $260,000 for Children's Crisis Treatment.

On Wednesday, June 4, 2008, Riverbend Environmental Education Center held their Go Green Gala — an all green event — at Haverford College’s Gardner Integrated Athletic Center. Guests enjoyed an eco-friendly auction and dined on food selections focused on farm-fresh ingredients purchased from local sustainable farmers. Proceeds benefited Riverbend’s mission to teach environmental principles to children.

On Wednesday, June 4, 2008, the 5th Annual UBS Motor Cars Under the Stars was held at historic Cairnwood in Bryn Athyn, to benefit United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Philadelphia. Guests strolled the grounds of industrialist John Pitcairn’s estate and viewed an extensive antique carriage collection, as well as a spectacular display of collector automobiles from exclusive private collections and modern day classics from Jaguar and Land Rover.
