On June 18, 2008, Danny Govberg and Ashley Cofone hosted a preview party for the Butterfly Ball at G. The preview party unveiled the items for auction at the Butterfly Ball to be held September 27. All money raised provides funding for education and support programs for women and families affected by breast cancer. Photography by Joanne Posse.
On Friday, June 13, 2008, the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania hosted its annual Moonlight and Roses Gala. Guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and dinner in the Rose Garden.
On Thursday, June 12, 2008, The Philadelphia Zoo hosted Zoobilee 2008, the zoo's largest fundraiser, which blended dining and dancing under the stars, prize drawings featuring a new Mini Cooper, courtesy of Mini of the Main Line, plus the finest local cuisine and live entertainment with special animal feedings and events. On Wednesday, June 11, 2008, Philadelphia magazine and Law & Politics honored the top attorneys in the Philadelphia region with an elaborate networking reception at the Oceanaire Seafood Room and the St. James Courtyard. The event was sponsored by Govberg Jewelers. Photography by Sofia Negron.
On Friday, June 6, 2008, the Children's Crisis Treatment Center held a western-themed event at the Loews Hotel Philadelphia. Guests included CBS 3's Stephanie Stahl, Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown, and event co-chairs Nicole A. Cashman and Gabe Canuso. Guests enjoyed cocktails and dinner, along with performances by Jessy Kyle, Dreamtime and western dancers from Marlin Disc Jockeys. The event raised over $260,000 for Children's Crisis Treatment.
