On Thursday, June 26, 2008, the Independent Hotel threw a cocktail party to celebrate its opening in Midtown Village. Situated in close proximity to Avenue of the Arts, The Pennsylvania Convention Center, and myriad opportunities for shopping, dining, entertainment and nightlife, the Independent will fill the gap in Philly's upscale boutique hotel market. Guests also enjoyed featured artwork by Philadelphia muralist Kim Senior.

SIP411 and Finlandia Grapefruit celebrated Midnight Summer at JL Sullivan's on June 25th. Guests enjoyed complimentary cocktails & hors d'oeuvres at this new speakeasy location in the Bellevue Building.
