The Fairmount Park Conservancy, a public-private partnership dedicated to supporting Fairmount Park, co-hosted a celebration of the Fairmount Water Works with the Women for the Water Works, a fund-raising committee of the Conservancy made up of more than 100 women, on Saturday, September 16th. The equestrian set gathered at Heartwood, in Newtown Square, on Sunday, September 16th, for "Elegance in Black & White," the preview party for the 33rd annual Dressage at Devon competition. This year's event will be held September 25th through 30th at the Devon Horse Show Grounds.

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) marked its 25th year on Saturday, September 15th, at the Philadelphia Marriott. The organization awarded its prestigious Board of Governors' Award, honoring career achievement and lasting contributions to the TV industry, to WCAU-TV veteran Herb Clarke.

The Honorable Patrick F. Dugan was sworn in at City Hall on Friday, September 14th.

The Mann Center hosted its second annual Back from the Beach Ball on Saturday, September 8th. The Ball featured a performance by Elvis Costello with the Mann Festival Orchestra. Proceeds from the event benefited The Mann Center's diverse cultural programming and community outreach initiatives.
