The American Red Cross held its annual Red Ball at the National Constitution Center on Saturday, March 5, 2005. Proceeds benefited programs and services of the American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter.
 
The Annual Human Rights Campaign Gala was held at the Loews Hotel on February 26, 2005. Special guests included James Carville, former consultant to Bill Clinton and current host of CNN Crossfire. Proceeds went to the Human Rights Campaign organization who promote equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people nationwide.
 
On February 25, 2005 Senators William Gormley and Steve Sweeney hosted a Special Olympics benefit concert at Dante Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The concert featured Irish singer Ronan Tynan.
 
The Young Friends of the Philadelphia Museum of Art held its annual Winter Gala on February 19, 2005. The gala celebrated the Salvadore Dali exhibition. Proceeds supported the acquisition of artwork for the Museum's collections.
