The Greater Philadelphia Hotel Association presented their annual 2005 winners with awards at the Hyatt Regency, Penn's Landing.

Pennsylvania Museum of Art's Young Friends enjoyed a Moonlight Soiree at the Penthouse of the Down Town Club. They danced to music by the Ben Singleton Band and enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, dim sum and pasta while sipping on complimentary wine provided by Barefood Wine.

At this 7th annual wine gala guests enjoyed wine tastings by Flowers Vineyard & Winery as well as dancing, silent auctions and food by Georges Perrier, while raising money to benefit the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.

On November 3rd, Bailey Banks & Biddle celebrated a grand reopening of a new mall location and exhibited an expanded collection with new designers. The party was followed with a concert by Natalie Cole at a private home in Devon.

This year's gala, "Of the People, For the People: A Celebration of American Poetry" consisted of readings from great American poets like Emily Dickinson by actress Meryl Streep and other esteemed poets who read thier own work like John Ashbery and Jorie Graham. Dinner, cocktails, jazz from Larry McKenna and Friends followed the readings and discussion panel.
