On Saturday, December 3, 2011, the 3rd Annual "Keep the Light Shining" Holiday Cocktail Party to benefit the Mommy's Light Lives On Fund® was held at the Newton home of Mike and Lynn Doyle. The event raised more than $26,000 to help fund traditions for children and teens whose mothers are terminally ill or have died. On Wednesday, November 30, 2011, guests gathered in Rittenhouse Square to kick off the holiday season. The Square was transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with a 35-foot Christmas tree, a visit from Santa, a performance by the Mummers, and more. Throughout the evening, guests explored the Infiniti QX and G37 Sedan, the ultimate gifts on anyone's wish list, and entered to win a $250 gift certificate to Le Castagne. On Tuesday, November 29, 2011, the Wanamaker, celebrated its 100th Anniversary with a party in the Crystal Tea Room. Guest included tenants and stake-holders of the building as well as local politicians and civic leaders. Guests enjoyed hor d'oeuvres as they viewed a photo display of the building's history and watched as Center City District President Paul R. On Tuesday, November 29, 2011, the Philadelphia Museum of Art hosted a tree lighting and served tasty treats to introduce the museum's holiday offerings.
