On Thursday evening, November 4, 2010, at the Hyatt at the Bellevue in Center City Philadelphia, Mayor Michael Nutter and Governor Edward G. Rendell joined families and supporters from the Academy in Manayunk for the annual AIM for the Stars Gala to honor Congressional candidate and former Philadelphia Eagle Jon Runyan; renowned author, parent of a child with learning differences, and great granddaughter of Henry Ford, Anne Ford; and Co-Founder of Philadelphia Schools Partnership, Michael O’Neill for their leadership in education and literacy for children who learn differently.

On November 2, Philadelphia magazine's Restaurant Club hosted its final event of the year. Presented by Lexus, the event was held at Jose Garces’ latest restaurant venture, JG Domestic. The night featured outside car display for the Lexus ES and the Lexus RX, delicious food and wine pairings, an appearance by Jose himself, and Philadelphia magazine's food editor Kirsten Henri. On October 30, local families were invited to the Shops at Liberty Place for Rittenhouse Row’s annual Halloween celebration, sponsored by Infiniti. The fun-filled day featured holiday-inspired activities including a costume contest and trick-or-treating at participating Rittenhouse Row stores.
