On Monday, June 25, 2012, The Parkinson Council’s supporters gathered at The Philadelphia Cricket Club for The 13th Annual Parkinson Golf Classic, chaired by The Parkinson Council’s board member Barry R. Milberg. With 268 in attendance, this year’s Parkinson Golf Classic raised $282,085 to support local nonprofits focused on research, education, outreach and services that improve the quality of life for people with Parkinson’s, their families and caregivers living in our region.

On Thursday, June 14, 2012, Philadelphia magazine honored the 2012 Top Doctors, as named in the May issue, at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and explored a fleet of 2012 Jaguar and Range Rover vehicles. Laser Spine Institute hosted a VIP lounge and pre-event reception.Photography by Nell Hoving.

On June 12, 2012, Philadelphia magazine and Infiniti joined the Vetri Foundation for Children at the Navy Yard for the 7th Annual Great Chefs Event. Guests were able to taste dishes from 40 local, national, and international superstar chefs and top mixologists, experience the all-new Infiniti JX, enjoy live entertainment, and participate in a fantastic live and silent auction. On Saturday, June 9, 2012, hundreds of women gathered at Drexel University’s state-of-the-art Recreation Center for Philadelphia magazine’s first-ever Be Well Boot Camp, a healthy and fun day-out for women, presented by Be Well Philly and UnitedHealthcare. Guests enjoyed fitness classes led by Best of Philly® trainers, motivational panel discussions presented by the region’s top doctors and wellness experts, and a marketplace full of product samplings, mini consultations, and live cooking demos.
