On December 21, Philadelphia magazine hosted an exclusive cocktail party to celebrate the Intelligent Performance of Porsche at the new, state-of-the-art 6ABC Studios. Guests were invited to explore a fleet of 2011 Porsche models including the 911 GT3 RS, Panamera and the all-new Cayenne S Hybrid. Guests also enjoyed Acacia Wines and specialty cocktails by Ketel One Vodka®, a Johnnie Walker tasting lead by their Master of Whiskey and a chic lounge by interior designer, Ashli Mizell. On December 16, 2010, Kobe Bryant returned to Lower Merion High School to dedicate the school's new gymnasium. The gym was named in Bryant's honor. Preceding the dedication, there was a VIP reception including a Q&A with Kobe, live entertainment and appearances by special guests. The evening featured performances by Lower Merion students, remarks by distinguished alumni and a Walk of Champions. The second annual Keep the Light Shining Holiday Cocktail Party to benefit the Mommy’s Light Lives On Fund® was held at Vintage Thoroughbred Farm, the home of Diane and David Charlton, in Pottstown on December 15, 2010. Nearly $20,000 was raised to help fund cherished traditions for children and teens whose mothers are terminally ill or have died. During the event, guests heard from Downingtown's Jennifer McKenna, 17, one of the children who is served by Mommy’s Light. A silent auction featured fabulous prizes such as a week at a French chateau, a baseball autographed by Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins, an outing at the Merion Golf Club, and copy of God Bless the Spectrum signed by Bobby Clarke. On December 15, 2010, Jonathan Adler opened his 13th free-standing boutique in Old City Philadelphia. Other store locations include New York City, Boston, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. In a brownstone, a mere hop, skip and jump away from Betsey Ross's house, the store will carry Jonathan Adler's "Happy Chic" designs in order to bring style, joy, and a general feeling of grooviness to the homes of Philadelphia. The FEASTIVAL holiday party was held on December 14, 2010, at Sampan. Guests enjoyed complimentary cocktails and food from the restaurant, while looking back at the first annual FEASTIVAL which was held on September 15, 2010, and raised $235,000 for the Philadelphia Live Arts and Philly Fringe. The inaugural benefit event exposed the region’s most influential business leaders and tastemakers to the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival by mixing dynamic and cutting edge artistic performances with world-class restaurants.
