Great room, great food, great fun! On Monday, March 9th, 20 adventuresome foodies from all over the area joined Philadelphia magazine’s Ashley Primis for our first-ever Restaurant Club dinner. Fork owner Ellen Yin and new chef Terence Feury outdid themselves with a four-course prix fixe — highlight: 24-hour roast veal breast accompanied by housemade boudin blanc and boudin noir, with roast vegetables and sauerkraut — served in a candlelit private room. On Saturday, March 7, 2009, The National Kidney Foundation held its 25th Annual Kidney Ball. Guests enjoyed special cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, entertainment, and a silent auction. Proceeds, which totaled more than $300,000, benefited the foundation's mission, which seeks to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of organs for transplantation.
