On Friday, November 18, 2011, the Philadelphia Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® held Teens for the Cure Tickled Pink® at Vie. Nearly 600 teen girls and their parents gathered for the event and raised more than $100,000 for the fight against breast cancer in the affiliate's 13-county service area. The celebration featured silent auctions, raffles, and a runway fashion show with breast cancer survivors and their teenaged daughters, granddaughters and nieces. On Thursday, November 17, 2011, the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) Philadelphia hosted the Visionary Gala at Vie on North Broad Street. This was the third annual event honoring student entrepreneurs. Students attended the event's cocktail hour and we able to sell products from their businesses and network with other attendees. Michael G. Rubin, who was honored by NFTE for his accomplishments with the group, spoke with news anchor Tracy Davidson in a chat for a broadcast on NBC10.
