On Tuesday, February 19, 2008, Philadelphia magazine's 8th Annual Philly Cooks! event served up another resounding success with guests enjoying signature dishes from their favorite restaurants while sampling fine wines, cocktails and beer. Some of the most talented chefs in the Philadelphia area not only presented classic favorites, but also pushed the culinary margins with inventive and unique creations. Philadelphia magazine presented MANNA with a check for the proceeds from the event.

On Wednesday, February 13, 2008, the National Constitution Center celebrated the opening of Baseball As America, an exhibition examining the relationship between baseball and American culture. Sixty guests mingled with baseball Hall of Famers Robin Roberts, Brooks Robinson and Ferguson Jenkins and previewed the exhibit, which features artifacts from baseball’s early roots in the 19th century to today. On Monday, February 11, 2008, InterAct Theatre Company celebrated its 20th anniversary at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. The gala told the "InterAct Story" by honoring the 20 most influential people in InterAct's history, while featuring scenes and images from InterAct's most memorable productions. On Sunday, February 10, 2008, WHYY President and CEO Bill Marrazzo and his wife, Randi, held their annual Valentine's Soiree at his home in West Mount Airy for WHYY contributors. This year's theme was "All you need is love" and guests were invited to wear red.
