Steven Speilberg and Jon Bon Jovi were two of the attendees at the "Ambassadors For Humanity" gala that the USC Shoah Foundation held on May 9, 2011 at the Loews Hotel. Speilberg helped recognize Brian L. Roberts, the chairman and CEO of Comcast Corporation, with the award for "Ambassador for Humanity." The Melanie Finley Ovarian Cancer Foundation (MFOCF) held their second annual Blue Hydrangea Tea Party at the Union League of Philadelphia on Saturday, May 7, 2011. MFOCF is the nation's only foundation that grants financial support to those seeking treatment for ovarian cancer. Guests donned in their craziest hats were entertained by a traditional high tea, champagne, auction and BOC Productions fashion show that included styles from Marlene's of Collingswood NJ and sponsored by the Elliott-Lewis Corporation. On Saturday, May 7, 2011, The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board and Philadelphia magazine presented the Tenth Annual Philadelphia Wine Festival, sponsored by Lexus, at The Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. Guests were treated to a vast selection of fine wines, as well as culinary creations from Philadelphia’s top restaurants. Proceeds benefited The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The Consular Corps of Philadelphia held a gala dinner at The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts on Friday, May 7, 2011. Consuls from countries such as Chile, Czech Republic, Haiti, Israel and Norway welcomed foreign ambassadors to the United States and to the United Nations.
