Rittenhouse Row's Ambassador night was held on Tuesday, September 8th upstairs at Smith and Wollensky's restaurant on Rittenhouse Square.

This year's Henri David Halloween party was held at the Wyndham Franklin. Over 1,500 costumed guests crowded the upstairs hall and ballroom. There's nothing I can say that will tell you what these photos will… Make sure to click on the little photos to see the entire photo!

There aren't many days with as perfect weather as Thursday, September 12th, when the Young Friends of the Philadelphia Museum Art held their annual Rodin Party in the courtyard of the Rodin Museum on the Parkway. One of the better Young Friends events of the year, it drew a considerable crowd which packed the walkways outside the museum chatting and mingling with specialty martinis in hand.

Le Bec Fin underwent major redecorating in its main dining area – from hot pink to rich, gold, woven fabrics and floral chintz on the walls, to ultra luxe crystal stemware and silver. Owner Georges Perrier invited his most favored and loyal clients to view the handiwork of DAS Architecture, Interiors, and Furnishings. The designers were on hand to overhear the various accolades and murmurings directed equally toward the design as well as to the outrageously rich fare. After an hour or so of mingling, Monsieur Perrier mounted the staircase with a methuselah (that's equivalent to eight bottles!) of Laurent-Perrier Champagne and bellowed good-naturedly, "silence! Silence! I will have silence!" before ardently thanking his patrons.

The American Cancer Society of Southeastern Pennsylvania held their annual Crusaders Ball on September 28th, instead of in December this year. The event raised almost $300,000 – a grand success for a great cause. The decorations and giftbags, at the Crusaders Ball were especially noteworthy. Some of the board members actually sewed the green, silk bags themselves. Now, that is commitment. Look for this event next year – it's sure to be one of the better ones of the season.
