If you've ever wanted to experience the glory of the stage, then The Young Friends of the Mann Music Center's dance party, called "Stand By Your Mann" was the place to be. After a swanky VIP winetasting, with wines and commentary on each, generously provided by Moore Brothers, the VIP's joined the rest of the crowd on the main stage for an elegant buffet dinner. Later, after hopping from carving station to bar, to make-your-own-sundae table, people waddled out to the dance floor to swing to the Eddie Bruce Orchestra. Eddie shows up at all the best places….
 
Philadelphia Magazine's annual Winefest includes two nights of Winemaker's Dinners at top restaurants in and around Philadelphia. The best vineyards send their winemakers to speak at the dinners. Most sell out quickly, but we snuck in to document the feastivities.
 
Actor/Dancer Patrick Swayze and his high school sweetheart, wife Lisa Niemi, made an appearance at Dance Affiliates 20th year celebration at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on April 7th. Swayze and Niemi were in town to promote his new film, One Last Dance, which premiered on April 8th at The Prince Music Theater.
 
The Rittenhouse Row Association held their eighth anuual kickoff party for the Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival in the Paris Ballroom at the Sofitel Philadelphia at 17th and Sansom Streets. Guests mingled and bid on auction items. Proceeds benefitted Rittenhouse Row Association – promoting the uptown area of Center City.
 
Thorncroft Therapeutic Horseback Riding center offers mentally and physically challenged children the chance to feel freedom and mastery while atop a grand horse, galloping through their fields up in Malvern. Thorncroft held its 18th annual Victory Gallop at the Hyatt at the Bellevue on April 5th.
