The American Cancer Society held their annual fundraising gala auction at the Westin hotel. This ball was called the Crusaders' Ball in previous years – now it's the American Cancer Society Ball. Same great party though – consistently one of the better silent auctions, and the Women's Committee put together another adorable gift bag for the women guests. Everyone knows someone whose life has been affected by cancer, perhaps that's why this ball is always so well attended and supported.

Another bar joins the Philadelphia night scene – but this one fills a gap north of Rittenhouse. Tragos opened their three-story lounge on Saturday, November 22nd despite one of the upstairs rooms not being quite finished. They dealt with that by dimming the lights – waaaay down. Upstairs there's a tequila bar and tapa menu, and like some other area bars, they offer bottle service. You can find them on 19th Street between Chestnut and Market Streets. Unless of course you are a genuwine VIP – then you can enter on Ranstead and 19th.

Award winning Savona Restaurant of Gulph Mills, also a multi-year winner of Best of Philly awards, and Veuve Clicquot teamed up to present a seven-course tasting menu replete with such sumptuous choices as; pan-seared foie gras with black mission figs; Thai ginger poached Maine lobster; and veal sweetbreads with porcini mushrooms and Parmesan-thyme tuilles. Each course was accompanied by a different vintage of Veuve Clicquot – 88 and 95 reserves, the 95 Grande Dame, and the 95 and 96 roses, the former a Grande Dame as well.

AIDS Fund Philadelphia held Broadway GayBINGO on Saturday, November 22nd at the Gershman Y, attracting a huge crowd to the popular HIV/AIDS fundraising event. GayBINGO's success is largely due to the combination of stage entertainment, prizes, and of course, the "Bingo Verifying Divas" (BVDs) on roller blades. Some of the memorable themes over the last seven years include Madonna-rama GayBINGO, Married to the Mob GayBINGO, and Superhero GayBINGO.

The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill hosted a home entertaining party with cooking demonstrations and decorating ideas on November 11th. Check out www.phillymag.com for more events like this one!
