On Wednesday, June 17, 2009, Osteria restaurant hosted the fourth annual Great Chefs Event to Benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer. Over 500 guests had the chance to mingle with more than 20 world-renowned chefs and sample their food. Photography by Jeff Fusco.
On Friday, June 12, 2009, Moonlight & Roses was held at the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania. More than 500 guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Rose Garden, followed by dinner either under the Rose tent, which featured dancing and entertainment by Jellyroll, or under the more peaceful Moonlight tent. More than $170,000 was raised, and proceeds benefited the Arboretum’s operating budget and the restoration of Springfield Mills. Photography by Mark Stehle.
On Thursday, June 11, 2009, the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson held an Inaugural Ball in Memorial Hall at the Please Touch Museum in Fairmount Park.
