On Saturday, January 28, 2012, the Philadelphia Orchestra held an anniversary concert and ball at the Academy of Music.
The Philadelphia Orchestra played with Yannick Nézet-Séguin as conductor, Yo-Yo Ma on cello and special guest artist Diana Krall. The event featured fabulous dance bands, champagne, cocktails, post-concert fare, dessert and coffee. Notable attendees included Mike Mills of R.E.M. and Senator Bob Casey. Photography by Jeff Fusco.

On Saturday, January 28, 2012, the Central Committee for the Philadelphia Orchestra honored the Academy of Music’s 155th Anniversary Concert and Ball at their third annual pre-party cocktail reception at Tiffany & Co. Proceeds benefited the Philadelphia Orchestra and its legacy. This year, more than 100 guests attended the pre-party reception and raised more than $5,900. On Friday, January 27, 2012, the 2012 Philadelphia Auto Show held the Black Tie Tailgate at the Convention Center. With more than 700 vehicles from a variety of manufacturers displayed, the Philly Auto Show is recognized as one of the top shows in the country. On Wednesday, January 25, 2012, Porsche of Conshohocken unveiled the next era of sports car by holding an invitation-only event to showcase the new Porsche 911. The event gave brand followers a chance to be one of the first to learn about the car and see how it has been enhanced. Over 300 people attended to see the changes made to the legendary sports car.
