On Thursday, April 12, 2012, the winners of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year were announced at the Union League of Philadelphia. The Grand Finale was a celebration of all twelve candidates' collective efforts as they enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live and silent auctions, dinner and dancing. Over the last 10 weeks, the candidates collectively raised $409,000; Anthony Falco of West Chester earned the title of Man of the Year and Dawn Scardino of Philadelphia claimed the title of Woman of the Year. Money raised from Man & Woman of the Year will be used to cure blood cancers and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

On Wednesday, April 11, 2012, more than 100 guests gathered at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel for Philadelphia Wedding’s Sew in Love fashion showcase. The evening featured original bridal designs by students from five of Philadelphia’s top design schools, Cupcake wines, hors d’oeuvres and music. On Sunday, April 1, 2012, former Eagle Tra Thomas and his team at 7 Deuce Sports hosted a one-year anniversary fundraising gala at the Chophouse Restaurant. The event was held to benefit The Food Bank of South Jersey and the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey. Among the attendees were current Eagle Jason Avant and former Eagles Ike Reese and Hugh Douglas.

On Saturday, March 24, 2012, Philadelphia magazine and Infiniti joined ACHIEVEability to present Food For Thought at Urban Outfitters, Inc. at The Navy Yard. Nearly 400 guests attended this exciting event celebrating 30 years of ACHIEVEability. In addition to tasting dishes from some of the region’s top chefs – including Marc Vetri, Peter Woolsey and Kevin Sbraga – guests were able to experience the all-new 2013 Infiniti JX and enjoy live entertainment, a VIP lounge presented by Infiniti, live and silent auctions, and a presentation honoring the 2012 Commitment to Education Honoree, Salome Thomas-El.
