From Bakeries and bands to florists and photographers, bridal resources were on hand to consult brides-to-be. The guests were invited to a cocktail reception, a fashion show and brunch with fashion expert Cliff Martell, and delicious food from the Ritz-Carlton's catering menu.

On Saturday, September 13, 2008, the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy for Television Arts and Sciences presented the 2008 Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards. The late Edie Huggins was honored with a posthumous presentation of the chapter’s prestigious Governor’s Award.
