The Best of Philly party was held at the National Constitution Center on Monday, July 28th. Presenting sponsors were Mercedes-Benz, Viking Range Corporation, Peirce-Phelps, Inc., and Fleet Bank. KYW Channel 3 broadcast the fun on live television coverage.

Some helpful selections include, … when you're having just one… when you're having just three… when you're trying to forget your own name… Duane was on hand to sign his new book at Marathon Grill on Wednesday, July 23rd.

Hannah House, a non-profit organization that helps North Philadelphian women break free from the cycle of poverty, drug addiction, and incarceration, held a fundraiser at Lloyd Hall at Boathouse Row on Thursday, July 24th. The theme of the party, "Buenos Noches", meant that cigar smoke and the rhythms of the Cuban band, Conjunto 23, swirled around in the sunshine until after 9pm. Panorama restaurant hosted an informal wine tasting and buffet for their most loyal and longtime patrons. They pulled out all the stops – we're talking about some beautiful, valuable, and hefty wines here! Two long tables were covered with wines; Barolos from the 1960's, Red Burgundy from the 70's and 80's. It was a rare collection of wines that will not likely be seen all in one place again.
