Party Pics: National Liberty Museum's 12th Annual Glass Now Auction & Gala

On Saturday, October 15, 2011, The National Liberty Museum held its Glass Now Auction at the Philadelphia Downtown Marriott Hotel. The Glass Now event featured a cocktail reception followed by a silent auction, dinner and “live” auction of 300 glass art sculptures. The Glass Now Gala, highlighted with the Auction at the Marriott, was part of a 3-day weekend event raising funds for the Museum’s educational work to empower visitors, children and teachers to celebrate diversity, good character and defuse violence. The event's Weekend Gala featured visits to homes of area collectors; a glass film festival and an awards ceremony honoring National Liberty Museum Board Member Brian Daggett and Glass Now Committee Chair, Franz Rabauer. The Philadelphia couple was named ‘2011 Collector Honorees’ for their extraordinary commitment to the Museum’s mission of diversity and years of glass art collecting.
