Burn Foundation's 38th Annual "Make the Difference" Gala
On Friday, October 14, 2011, the Burn Foundation hosted a gala at the Union League of Philadelphia to celebrate those who “make the difference” for the burn community. Kevin F. Berry, Esq., a partner at Duane Morris LLP, was awarded the Roland Kandle Award for Outstanding Volunteerism, and nine nurses were awarded the Unsung Hero Award for their work with the Burn Foundation Nurse Advisory Council. NBC10's Terry Ruggles, served as emcee. The gala is a major source of funding for the Burn Foundation, a Philadelphia-based non-profit established in 1973 that serves the region through education, and in the support of the burn care community, burn survivors and their families.
