On Saturday, June 10, 2011 the Morris Arboretum celebrated the 30th anniversary of the annual Moonlight and Roses fundraiser gala. The theme and decor reveled in the history of the arboretum, featuring historic elements of the gardens taken from the Morris Arboretum Archives. 650 guests mingled throughout the picturesque Morris Arboretum Rose Garden, and 350 stayed for dinner and dancing with music provided by the popular Janis Nowlan Band. The event resulted in a revenue of $232,700 with a net Revenue of $112,700. The proceeds will go to annual operations and the Historic Preservation Fund, a fund which seeks to protect and preserve the arboretum's vast and beautiful property.
