Phillies players Ryan Madson and Carlos Ruiz hosted a Tournament Bowling and Billiards event called "Get in the Game" to benefit Philadelphia Futures on Sunday, April 17, 2011. For 11 years The Phillies and Philadelphia Futures have raised over $1.3 million to support the city's low-income neighborhood high school kids in order to help them reach college. Attendees participated in bowling and billiards games in addition to a human-crossword puzzle, watched a tribute video to the Phillies and raised money with the silent and live auctions. There was also a formal program and awards presentation for the winning team and individual winners of the tournament. In addition to Madson and Ruiz, Chase Utley, Ryan Howard and Shane Victorino were also in attendance. Photography by Jessica Vermeer Hawkes.
