Marian Anderson Awards Gala

Mia Farrow received the 2011 Marian Anderson Award at a Gala Concert with the Philadelphia Orchestra on Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Mia Farrow is well-known as an actress in film, television and on stage, but is also recognized as an advocate for human rights, focusing her attention on sub-Saharan Africa. She has traveled to Sudan 13 times, and her writing on genocide has been published in the likes of the Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe and LA Times. The event took place at the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts, where guests enjoyed cocktails and dinner before the Gala concert. Photography by Jeff Fusco.
