4th Annual Mardi Gras Gala

Om March 4, 2011 the Epilepsy Foundation Eastern Pennsylvania honored Dr. Mike Cirigliano, Penn Medicine internist and FOX29 Medical Correspondent, as its 2011 Mardi Gras King. The Mardi Gras Gala, which took place at the Palace at the Ben, was adapted from the traditional event in New Orleans and featured an evening complete with Mummers’, hurricanes, a French Creole sit-down dinner, dancing and lively music provided by Tribeca Grand. A parade, extravagant decorations, beads, doubloons, voodoo dolls, and masks all added to the festive décor. Money raised benefits the Foundation’s free programs and services, focusing on education, advocacy and support for those affected by epilepsy/seizure disorder. Photography by Jonathan Meter
