Heart of Philadelphia

On Saturday, February 12, 2011, guests from all over the Delaware Valley came out to support the American Heart Association’s annual Heart of Philadelphia. Chaired by Dr. Richard Shannon, the Heart of Philadelphia raised $1 million for cardiovascular disease and stroke research and education in Southeastern PA. Honorees included Governor Edward G. Rendell, who received the Heart of Philadelphia award and Dr. Andrew S. Wechsler, who received the Edward S. Cooper, M.D. award. Held at the Urban Outfitters Headquarters in the Navy Yard, 600 guests dined on filet and diver scallops, along with an assortment mini low-fat and low-calorie desserts.
