Comcast Sportsnet Shining Star Awards

On January 21, 2011, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia hosted the inaugural Shining Star Awards benefiting the March of Dimes. Phillies pitcher Ryan Madson spent time with one of the honorees, Dante Coccia, Jr. in preparation for the inaugural awards dinner, held at the Westin Hotel. Players from the Flyers, Sixers and Eagles will be meeting with their honorees in the coming months. The Shining Star Awards honor Dante and three other children representing the March of Dimes.
