The Philadelphia Orchestra’s Opening Night Concert and Gala on September 23rd, marked the launch of the city’s cultural event season and celebrated the start of the Orchestra’s 2010-2011 season. It featured a performance by the Philadelphia Orchestra, Maestro Charles Dutoit, and world-renowned violinist, Joshua Bell. The concert was followed by a black-tie gala dinner attended by Philadelphia’s most influential business and civic leaders. Alec Baldwin made a special appearance and presentation during the evening’s program to honor Maestro Dutoit’s 30 years with The Philadelphia Orchestra.
