The Young Friends of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, a lively group of young professionals and art enthusiasts, hosted the 19th-annual Rodin Garden Party Friday, September 10, 2010, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event
is traditionally held at the Rodin Museum, but moved this year to the Ruth and Raymond G. Perelman Building while the Rodin Museum undergoes exterior renovation. Funds raised through this event support the Young Friends' mission of art acquisitions, conservation, and preservation of works in the collections, as well as education and outreach programming. Guests explored Desert Jewels: North African Jewelry and Photography from the Xavier Guerrand-Hermès Collection, featuring objects collected over three decades by the renowned Paris-based fashion empire that illuminate the diversity and beauty of traditional North African jewelry design.
