Champion for Young Children

On Thursday, November 12, 2009, The Delaware Valley Association for the Education of Young Children (DVAEYC) held their annual Champion for Young Children event at the Comcast Center. Guests of this family event were entertained by award-winning book characters from Harold and the Purple Crayon, performed by Enchantment Theatre Company. This year’s award recipient was Senator Robert P. Casey, who also received a citation from the City of Philadelphia from Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown for his efforts to support early education. Photography by Sharla Feldscher and Steve Rayme.
