The Historical Society of Pennsylvanias Founders Award Gala
On Thursday, April 30 2009, The Historical Society of Pennsylvania presented its annual Founder’s Award gala. Guests were able to admire historical artifacts such as an original handwritten copy of “The Star-Spangled Banner” and the original flag displayed at George Washington’s first inauguration. The event is the organization's main fundraiser, and included a reception honoring four individuals with the Founder’s Award, followed by dinner. Photography by Jessica Vermeer Hawkes.
